Indian River Plantation (IRP) is a planned community of custom built homes about a mile southeast of the Virginia Beach Municipal Center.  There are 227 homes resting on 322 acres of land.  The community is located in the City¿s ¿Transition Zone¿.  This means further development is limited.

Indian River Plantation offers many amenities, including tennis courts, a children's play park, and beautifully landscaped gardens.  Roving security provides a watchful eye. In the center of the community a curved and arched bridge leads to a pavilion with a 50-foot diameter glass covered dome surrounded by one of the six community lakes.  At night, the dome is lit and the lakes are highlighted with lighted fountains.

The jewel of the community is the surrounding golf course designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer.  The Signature at West Neck is a beautiful and challenging 7,010-yard  par 72 championship course.  Thirteen lakes accent the wooded and dramatically landscaped terrain. Beach bunkers offer unique visual appeal and golfing challenge.  Five sets of tees make the course fun for golfers of all skill levels.
